Use thoughtfully
Check the serving directions and the date on your bottle. Follow the storage instructions, including any refrigeration or use-after-opening guidance. Keep the original label and batch number with the product.
Know the materials
A bottle, cap, seal, label, and shipping box may need different handling. Check the markings on each part. A resin code identifies a type of plastic; it does not, by itself, mean your local program accepts that item.
Check locally
Your local recycling provider is the best source for what it accepts and how items should be prepared. Check its guidance on bottles, caps, paper, and cardboard. Keep materials it does not accept out of the recycling bin.
