Glutathione is built from three amino acids: glutamate, cysteine, and glycine. Cells use it as part of their antioxidant defenses against reactive compounds produced during normal metabolism.
It works through a recycling system
As glutathione takes part in antioxidant reactions, it changes between reduced and oxidized forms. Cells recycle it so it can participate again—one reason this molecule attracts research interest.
Human evidence needs context
A small, four-week pilot study of liposomal glutathione reported increases in body glutathione stores. It included only 12 adults and no placebo group, so it cannot establish what this InfiniteLabs formula will do for you.
